Fun With Pixies
Been playing Digital Devil Saga for hours and I haven't advanced anywhere in the plot. 8D Why not? Because I've been taking advantage of a fun little system called "Reinforcements". Brief, but amusing example:
Run through an area close to a save point in the Svasdisthana Waterways area. You might come across a relatively harmless creature called a Pixie. Don't eat it. 8D That's right. Put some muzzles on Heat if you have to...or better yet, switch him for Cielo. I had Serph use an ability to up everyone's physical attacks while the Pixie summoned a High Pixie and ran off.
Don't eat this one either. Have Cielo use an electric drain technique for making healing easy, and have everyone pass their turn. When the High Pixie summons a creature called Queen Mab, go hog wild.
Focus on the Mabs that the High Pixie summons. They're easy to beat and the more exp and AP you'll get when you finally get bored and kill off the High Pixie and end the battle.
